National Adoption Week takes place 16th to 22nd October 2017

The need to find families for some of our most vulnerable children remains at the heart of this year’s event. The children who wait the longest for an adoptive family are a priority and this year during National Adoption Week we focus on keeping brothers and sisters together through adoption.

Tony and Jacquie adopted two brothers We wanted our family and adoption seemed to be the way we get our family; and we got to help some children that needed a family. We have found it hard, but our two have given us the family we'd always wanted. And we'd do it again."

What has being adopted together meant to Martin and Ellie-Rose?

Eileen said: "Taking on three children at the same time is daunting, but it brought me incredible joy."

Whether you are an adopter, an adoptee, an adoption professional or you'd just like to show your support, there are plenty of ways to get involved with National Adoption Week:

Download a placard, take a selfie or a photo and share during the week

The focus of the week is brothers and sisters adopted together so during the week we invite all to share photos of their brothers and sisters using hashtag #LoveMyBrother #LoveMySister
